Durga Puja will be
held on October 14th , 15th and 16th
at the Park Center High School in Brooklyn Park,
Minnesota.
To ensure proper planning, we request that you
purchase your tickets in advance. Please make checks
payable to 'Bengali Association of Minnesota'.

**Please note: Buying ticket at the door will cost an
additional $5 per head in each category (except children
5 and under) and the availability of the very first meal
cannot be guaranteed as well.
Price of admission ticket includes meals and a full
roster of programs for the relevant period.
People who wish to attend only the Puja and partake
Prasad on either Saturday or Sunday day, will be
charged a nominal fee of $5 at the door.
We also request you to forward this and all subsequent

adjoining areas, and encourage them to contact us.

An
evening performance by our beloved singer Dr. Anup Ghoshal.
Dr. Anup Ghosal is one of the most popular vocal artists of Bengal. His
popularity and reputation has spread beyond the boundaries of Bengal due
to his excellent work in movies like MASOOM, SHAPATH, PATAL BHAIRABI and
many others.
Learning Indian classical music from a very young age under the guidance
of Late Sangeetacharya Sukhendu Ghohsal, success came early to him. Dr
Ghoshal shot into fame with his playback singing in Satyajit Ray's
"Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne" and later "Hirak Rajar Deshe". He has won a
number of National Awards for his playback performances.
Today Dr. Ghosal is one of the most versatile singers of all times with
a range that includes Kheyal, Thumri, Bhajan, Ragprodhan,
Rabindrasangeet, Nazrulgeeti, Dwijendrageeti, Rajanikanter Gaan, Modern
Bengali Songs, Folk Songs, Hindi and Bengali Film songs and Children
Songs.
We are very happy that Dr. Ghoshal has accepted our invitation to
perform in the Twin Cities, giving us all an opportunity to enjoy his
music. We invite all of you to join us for an unique program.
